The owners of historic Hinderton Hall Estate in Neston, Wirral, are developing the beautiful site, breathing new life into its many outbuildings and cottages with the help of Bridging Finance Solutions’ development finance.

Owner Nick Hopkins has undertaken a long-term programme of renovation at a series of properties, the latest being the former office buildings which are now being developed as homes following planning permission approval in 2016.

With two of the buildings sold on to a private developer, a third is currently undergoing a full programme of transformation with the owner securing a short-term loan from Bridging Finance Solutions, enabling him to complete the work.

Nick explained: “We’re keen to develop the Hinderton Hall site and with many of the buildings unused, felt they could be transformed into beautiful modern homes but in keeping with the gothic appearance of the wider estate. We’re now 70% through completion of works on the fourth unit and needed to secure funds that would allow us to finalise the works and move on to the fifth unit.

“Whilst I have worked with a number of bridging companies in the past, I became aware of Bridging Finance Solutions through a third party. From an initial personal visit to the site and following initial discussions, we agreed to move on with the process swiftly.

“The beauty of BFS is the personal contact and relationships that have developed. Whilst the majority of other bridging companies are based in the South of the country, it’s refreshing to work with a local company and actual people rather than a voice in the ether.”

From initial discussions, the process gathered pace quickly and funds were secured within six weeks.

Nick added: “The process ran incredibly smoothly and the team at BFS kept me in the loop every step of the way. There have been no hidden charges and everything has been made clear and transparent. I’m very comfortable and confident in my decision to use BFS.”

Upon the final sale of these two properties, Nick is looking to transform other properties at the estate whilst he and his family will remain living at Hinderton Hall Estate itself.
