Rachel Davies has joined the expanding Bridging Finance Solutions team as Head of Underwriting.
Rachel brings over 25 years’ experience working within the corporate finance sector, formerly with a Property and Asset Finance company, and prior to that 17 years spent at Nat West Commercial Banking
Under the new role, Rachel will oversee new finance applications. Her understanding of both the bridging and wider finance sectors will further enhance the speed and feedback times expected by customers keen to secure finance fast.
Steve Barber, Managing Director at Bridging Finance Solutions said: “This is a new role and one which will help streamline the application process. As we are dealing with more and more enquiries daily, we can find a bottleneck at certain stages, simply because of the increase in volume. To have one single, highly experienced person in place to deal with the underwriting will boost our capacity and benefit all customers.”
Rachel added: “The bridging industry is a fantastic one to work in – the fast paced nature of bridging and the ability to do deals in days rather than months is refreshing. However, the correct processes and procedures are absolutely essential and taking the responsibilities of underwriting from other team members will help them focus further on their individual roles.
“I’ll also be looking at implementing new processes and developing new products that will be targeted at our increasingly diverse customer base.”
