Hoylake Cottage Hospital in Wirral is set to introduce some rock n roll into its ‘Pub’ with its very own jukebox following a £1,000 donation by Bridging Finance Solutions.
The nursing home, which specialises in dementia care, are currently refurbishing their much loved ‘Pub’ and the new jukebox will form a fun part of the make over plans.
BFS’s Jeanette Gwatkin’s father was a resident at Hoylake Cottage Hospital, several months prior to his sad passing last month. She said: “The care given to my father at the care home was of outstanding quality and the staff and fellow residents were lovely and incredibly supportive.
“I’m delighted that BFS has donated this sum which will inject some wonderful music into the Hoylake Cottage Hospital pub. The pub has a true look and feel of a real life pub and so makes residents feel and remember social occasions of old. My dad loved it and he really thought it was his local – our visits there became an importunate part of his routine.”
Based on Wirral, Hoylake Cottage is a care home that provides 24 hour nursing, respite and day care services for older people, including specialist services for those with dementia. Further information can be found at www.hoylakecottage.org.uk
